OUR LOVE STORY
How we met
We met through mutual friends—began as acquaintances, then slowly became friends and grew very close over the course of 11 years. Through countless shared moments and memories, our connection quietly deepened. Those seeds we planted as friends eventually blossomed into feelings and we had our first date in February of 2020.

Fast forward to
Four years later, David took a leap of faith and followed me to New York City. The Big Apple brought a whole new set of challenges, but we faced each one together—side by side. From settling into a new city, to living together for the first time, and navigating the balance between work and life, it was a season of growth. We traveled with friends, explored new corners of the world and of each other, and fell even more in love along the way.

The proposal
It was a rainy Thursday in New York—one of those nights where we actually made time for a spontaneous date. Life in the city moves fast, but we’d always talked about carving out space just for us. That night, we finally did. We went to Arden, a cozy spot on Franklin known for its seasonal menu. It was a little chilly, a little crowded, but the wine was good and the company even better.
After dinner, we walked home and had a nightcap. As I was tidying up the bedroom, he called out, “Can you help me with something?” I asked what he needed, and he just said, “Come here.” I turned the corner—and there he was, down on one knee. “I love you. Will you marry me?”
Of course, I said yes.
